I happened to check the Update Firmware feeature in Sentinel this afternoon and found an update to V1.23.03. Supposedly the fix for issues with the recent 1.23.01.

What I do not know is, do you need a newer version of Sentinel to run it? The link I have been using to get updates seems to be down unless anyone knows of another source. https://info.uniden.com/twiki/bin/view/Unidenman4/BCDx36HPSentinel. I am currently using Sentinel V2.05.

Uniden is so disjointed in its web resources for customers, I find it unbelievable.

Thanks Dave3825. Its back now... Was down for at least 40 minutes that I tried it. I was using the correct link but it was resulting in a blank page. I see the latest is still V2.05.03 so, no app update, just new firmware.

The updated updated version announced yesterday by @JoeBearcat but kind of got lost in the rush of all the new SDS threads

I checked a few times yesterday but firmware was not found. Applied to both SDS-100 and SDS-200 radios, now testing.

I'd advise reading your unit first, update, then reload your unit. Mine turned on search for the one system I'm using it for, I don't know if it changed anything else yet.

Appears that you can no longer hit FUNC in WF mode to move across the screen faster. Mine goes the same speed either way

Tested both SDS-100 and SDS-200 on WF. Func does speed up the scroll. Looks like Slow is 5Khz for knob click versus 100Khz per knob click.

So if someone did not do the first update with a main and a sub, what happens when they go to grab today's, which is just a main, does the sub download also?

Yes.

Sentinel will compare the versions of both main and sub and see that newer versions of both are available and download and install them.

On the other hand, if one upgraded to the last version, Sentinel will see that only the main is newer and just download and install it.

I just updated mine to the newest version without issue, and no issues here with it at all from my observations...so far anyway.

Edit: SDS200, haven't updated the 100 yet.

I successfully updated the firmware in both the SDS100 & SDS200. When I asked to update the firmware I was prompted to update Sentinel first. I did that and then went after the firmware update. The firmware update took. But wait after the Main ver 1.23.01 loads because there’s another update coming automatically for Sub ver 1.03.02. Just don’t do anything-don’t turn the scanner off, just don’t touch it and the sub ver will start on its own. The scanner will then finish updating and load your programming.
