BCD325P2/BCD996P2: fixable confusion BCD325P2 operation

Hi all,
I thought i knew how to program and operate this 325P2 but having issue figuring out what should be rudimentary operation. here's the scoop... i have the new MERA Phase 2 system on quick keys 5 and 6... i have Sonoma County Conventional on Quick key 3... i have SoCo Fire on Group Quick key 3, SoCo Law on Group Quick Key 9... when i turn "OFF" group Q-keys 3 and 9 i am now only scanning the Trunking P25 system which works fine... The manual says to press "func" then numbers 0-9 to enable (turn on) the group Q-keys but it only double-beeps at me...i have the System Q-key ON the whole time but i think when it is scanning the TSYStem it won't let me enable the CONV groups even tho the CONV system is "enabled".... I can't seem to find a work around and the manual is elusive for info on this topic too... Id be SO VERY GRATEFUL to hear advice on this... i hope i have explained the issue clearly... thanks in advacne

When you "Hold" on the system and its scanning you press F+the group #you want to lock out and you then see "*" star instead of the number, to put it back you do the same

THANKS Ronin... the issue was while scanning ONLY a trunked system the func/0-9 key sequence doesn't work because the it thinks ur trying to turn on a CONV channel within the TSYS... the workaround is this... PRESS AND HOLD FUNC... Scroll to which ever system you want... then press the number or numbers of the groups you want turned on.... live and learnnnnn
