Please take my entire post into account if you're going to quote me. I said "I do my best not to buy junk made in China, as much as it can be helped, which is unfortunately less and less these days." In some cases, there is no getting away from Chinese-made junk, but given the choice I will stay away from it and try to buy from US manufacturers first, then democratic, non-communist countries second. I'm not a xenophobe, I have no problem with Japanese automobiles or radios or the like. I'm just not too keen on sending my hard earned US dollars to a country that is rife with human rights violations and oppresses its people. It's bad enough that most of the Chinese-made RF equipment I've had the misfortune of coming across didn't meet spec or was manufactured poorly, but the thought of said parts being manufactured by a forced-labor force of children under deplorable conditions just does not sit well with me. To each their own.
