The RTL-SDR is not the best performer, it ruins most of the VHF air band.

What evidence of this do you have? It barely touches into 120 Mhz and even then it's not even 1 s-unit of signal strength. On an external antenna that won't be noticeable especially on AM aircraft band.

It hardly "ruins the VHF aircraft" band... :rolleyes:

You supplied the evidence with your plots. One filter is about 6dB down at 120MHz and the other about 5dB down and below that they drop like a rock. Around here we have lots of aircraft stuff between 118 and 120 and in the helicopter freq area around 123MHz they are around 3dB down. Let me put a 6dB attenuator permanently in your antenna feedline then let me know how you like the reception.
