Wondering if anyone knows if Forest Acers is switching to 800 I heard them tell their dispatch to switch back to UHF because they were getting better reception on UHF then 800. And as for the last few postings I got on 800 there is and has never been a law that states law Enforcement Agency's must have a radio on the Palmetto 800 system. And if any one can show me this law I owe you an apologie.

There is no law,.. it is more like a suggestion,.. and a good idea for interop. The entire idea behind the Palmetto 800 TRS was for interop for ALL Public Safety Agencies in the state of South Carolina as was demonstrated a NEED for after hurricane Andrew. Also with the flexibility of the Palmetto 800 and it being already digital ready, it is a great platform for anyone to leap on. From my experience living in SC, and from the multitude of discussions around the country, the Palmetto 800 is the single most successful Statewide TRS in use today!
