I listen to the Fort Smith Simulcast site using an SDS100. I've noticed that the communications of the city services such as street dept, water dept, sanitation services and transit buses have disappeared. I know the police is encrypted. I still hear the fire department, but the other city services are gone. Radio Reference doesn't show them as encrypted. Anybody know where they went? Am I the only one that cares? Thanks.

Again, keep in mind that the RR database is only as good as the data submitted to it by users who have verified its accuracy. The db will not automatically and immediately update if/when something changes. Someone has to physically, manually submit a change after they have verified it to be accurate and then that change is reviewed and manually implemented by db admins.

If ya have ProScan set your radio up to not skip encrypted TGID's and log all traffic on the Fort Smith Simulcast. Lock out everything except what you are interested in. After a week or so you'll get an idea if they're still there or not.

I do something similar with my TRX-1 where it has all (known) AWIN TGID's locked out and listens on a WILDCARD TGID to pick up new TGID's. I then go back & listen to those unknown TGID's to try to figure out who/where they are.
