I am very interested in joining Fort Worth Skywarn, I'd love volunteer time in the communications aspect,
I am interested in getting my 2M Ticket, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Start working on your Tech ticket and possibly listening to 146.94 during bad weather to get used to the methods and proceedures. Plan to attend Hamcom (Ham-Com, The BIGGEST Hamfest in Texas) where you can take your test and attend both the basic and advanced Skywarn class. They often also have a good class on Weather Radar, which would also be useful.

Be sure to attend the Tarrant County Skywarn class. It is schduled for the 1st Sat in March this year. Location is still pending. Check the NWS Fort Worth Skywarn class schedule for updates. Start studying now and good luck on getting your ticket.
