I live in a garden level apartment in Fort Collins why can I get LC Druq Tac Force in the clear off that tower?

That control channel isn't used anywhere else but Fountain according to the database.

So the possibilities I see are: programming/id mistake, TF using an "off channel", local overload putting an image into the cc for Fountain.

If it were me hearing it, I'd look for the programming mistake first.


Other- Sometimes the TF is in the clear, sometimes they aren't.

Would suggest you log that CC with Pro96com if you can and confirm it's ID to be sure it's really Fountain in El Paso County.

Im wondering about the freq itself Im looking at the DB 859.9875? it6s like the only cc that high could it be a mistake?, also checking Larimer towers for same freq but not as cc

well I punched it into my 396 here in berthoud on search I dont even see a signal so................

Did a fcc search on that freq for CO and there is some wireless network company out of eagle
ASHCROFT ITV INC

a Aurora posting as a PS freq
and a colorado springs listing

Got no clue what your hearing or not hearing
I doubt its fountain thats way to far away

I checked for that freq anywhere else in the dB and it's not there.

We are having some severe weather which could cause ducting yet...... hearing the Larimer Task Force?

Something isn't adding up.


Trying it in Boulder - no signal.

I programmed 859.9875 into my scanner for the drive home. Left it as just FM since I wanted the radio to stop on that freq so I could see if it could be heard anywhere near home.

It could not.
Even from the hill on the interstate by the airport I received no signal on that frequency.

So- it's not Fountain 859.9875 that's being heard. The OP hasn't shared enough info to know anything more.
