I'm looking for input from others. If you find the sweet spot. Let us know. Every system is different. I love my Bixby site. But that's County only.

When CFD & the suburbs are on it I will mess with it, I really dont listen to CPD much unless the shiite hits the fan

I've played with these settings since the first site came up. Not much difference. Changing the APCO to Manual and leaving the Threshold at 8 seems to maybe help a little but not much. Any other changes make it worse. I think antenna and location changes have more effect.

Same. I'm about 2 miles from parsons Ave site. Funny I have browning br-450 UHF antenna. I waiting on a spring assembly so the antenna is currently apart. I have the top whip inserted into the base. It works quite well. I think it dampens out the other sites. I think I'm going to get a directional antenna though. If I stand on my roof I can see the towers beacon so I am true line of site.

I am currently listening from Delaware county and it sounds good. I am using a Harris P7200 and a Uniden BCD436HP. I do notice some slight distortion but I agree that it most likely from simulcasting or patching. The rest of the users on MARCS-IP sound crisp and clear on other towers.

The P7200 shouldn't have any issues. I'm going to get me Relm P800 or M800 or even a Harris 7200.

The P25 wait time is what has helped me the most. On an unrelated noted my walkie keeps alerting that it's in site trunking mode and I've heard Zone 1 say they are having issues.

I just connected a Yagi directional antenna to my feed scanner, it sounds better to me, give a listen and see what you think.

Let me know what wait time your using, I played with that and didn't notice any difference.

Hello guys trying to program my BCD996P2 with the arc pro software and can't find the MARCS p25 listed in the software for Columbus. Know I'm blind as a bat but heck what's wrong lol.

Make sure you are looking at the MARCS-IP system. The will have to add the Columbus sites from the list of sites. Columbus is a system within a system.

I only usually listen to Columbus Fire, any idea when they're going to go digital? Is the old analog system actually going to be taken out of service or just different users going to it? Thanks!

I heard CFD will be moving in the next month, by the end of August. The Analog system will then be shut off.

Anyone noticing the beeping on Zone 5 Dispatch? It almost sounds like failsoft. Sometimes a long flatline beep will occur before a unit talks.

I have heard that occasionally on all the channels. It sounds at regular intervals when it is there. It sounds like the "Restricted Channel Tone" used on some systems to let officers know the channel is restricted to emergency use only, ae officers arriving at a robbery, burglary, etc. Maybe the dispatchers are inadvertently activating it and don't know it, or it is still in testing.
