Listening to the franklin county scanner online today I heard them mention a operations being on tac 1. Does anyone know the frequency for this? Is it just the ops frequency listed in the database?

Interested to see if any information comes out of your post, as I hear units mentioning tac channels also. On another note I see you mentioned in another post of yours about dispatch "steering". Now I understand why I hear or don't hear some dispatching up north. I believe that Duane fire station has several repeaters at thier fire station due to the amount of antenna's they have on the fire house,

They have an aditional repeater frequency 155.820 that is a good possibility. It is also licensed for simplex base and mobile. It is low power (5W) so will probably not be heard unless you are in the vicinity of the activity.

If memory serves I remember seeing on this forum that Franklin County uses MURS frequencies such as 154.570 and 154.600 for their Tac channels.

Since the OP did not specify Fire I assumed the question was about Law so my response does not apply. If 2W MURS frequencies are used they would only be heard in the immediate vicinity of the incident.

Since MURS is nationwide general use, with multiple users in any area, a specific user will not be listed in RRDB unless a PL/DPL is specified. If a department is using CSQ on general use, non-Public Safety, frequencies it could be listed in the WIKI for the County.

Based on the low power and location of this repeater, my money is on this channel being the Franklin County Jail channel. The licensed location is the County Public Safety complex.

I considered the same possibility and that it likely has never been submitted to RRDB due to only able to be received near the Jail.

I agree. I’ll try to get over that way later this summer or sometime this fall for a reconnaissance mission.
