Any of these play well with the Mac? Probably not, right? I guess I could use my laptop that I have for Minitor programming but I don't always have it near me.

I admit it. As a Mac guy I'm 100% Windows ignorant so I tried and failed to get ALEIR to download for me on my laptop. It bums me out because this thing looks really good. I'm good up to the point where I need to run "winmysqladmin.exe" and either I don't have it or have no idea how to get it because I can't find it anywhere. At that point I started the install from scratch and again made it to the same place with the "winmysqladmin.exe" nowhere to be found. Anybody have any advice?
I tried Tickets next but again a failure to get it to work although it appears they may be having issues with their web site so I may try that one again in the future. I wish this stuff worked for Mac so I could know what I'm doing!!!

I did manage to get the trial for 911CAD to download. I'm just now starting to play around with it and haven't really figured out how to do much in it yet but it looks like it could be pretty decent once I get everything updated. Success with 1 out of 3 tries in baseball isn't bad but not being able to figure out what I'm doing wrong with the download for ALEIR has bummed me out.

Disregard my last post, finally found out that the download I had was of the old version still available on the net, for some reason.

The correct Tickets CAD webpage is Tickets CAD System :: Home.

Took some head scratching to install, but works great !!!

user and pass for document

what is the user and password for this software
Here is a CAD system I made using Access 2010. It will only work with Microsoft Access 2010 no earlier. I have yet to try open office, if you have it let me know if it works with this.

Just save it to your desktop or network if you have multiple workstations. Double click on it, when it opens there will be an enable content option, make sure you do this. Once that is done login with the following login, username: DISPATCH password: POLICE. They have to be capitalized.

It is all yours to experiment with, it is very simple. Click incident to add a call. The call will update in Unit Status and the Reports section. In Reports you can click on a call on the bottom of the screen and file the report for the call.

It is not too in depth of a program considering I am just out of highschool, but I saw your post, just hoping this could help. Let me know your opinions.

Here is the database to download....
COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH.accdb download - 2shared

Just click the blue download then save it to your desktop, and begin call logging.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM I would be more than happy to help.

You should read the whole thread before posting. Your question was answered twice.

Sean, I have a couple questions regarding the Access File you created. How would I go about editing it to use my departments information and to add more users?
Thanks

Since Sean's account's last activity was in 2012, a PM might not do any good; but still might be worth a try, in case you haven't tried already.

Hope this helps,

Hello - I came across this thread and I am curious if anyone had any luck with the aforementioned systems or had any suggestions for other CAD systems. I work in a security department and we are looking at a cad system to log our calls for service.

I also read the part about another poster who had created his own using MS Access. I'd like to see what he had made if anyone had a copy.

Hey max, we use SunGard onesolution and it works great. We dispatch for police fire and ems for a county with about 275k residents. It integrates really well with our phones, maps, AVL, APCO EMD etc...... oh and the Motorola radios too! We have been using it for the past 5 years or so.

It's quite a complex piece of software (obviously) which can be kind of confusing at first but it is laid out pretty logically. Unlike the name of the software there is more than "one" solution to do things such as dispatching units in different ways, call history for residences, phone numbers etc.

If you have any questions let me know. You might be able to find prices online but I would imagine it's not cheap.
