I had Freescan on my computer for some time and it worked flawlessly however have been out of town and came back attempted to access the program and it gives me a error message stating that Freescan has encountered a error and needs to close( the program never opens). I have tried to reinstall the software and continue to get the same error message also attempted to do a system Restore and the same issue still occurs. I have checked to make sure all my stuff is up to date any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

That happened to me once with a programming software, (after I upgraded) don't know if this will be the answer for your problem, I tried running the program from Explorer (ran Exe file) and it worked, I had to delete the desktop shortcut and create a new one.

I thought of that and was using Firefox and tried installing it with Internet Explorer however to no avail it just keeps crashing before it ever opens.

'Installing it with IE'??? That's not what you do. You should be able to just click on the downloaded file - it has it's own installer.

If it doesn't install, it's likely a bad download. Go get a new copy...73 Mike

I was able to go back to previous versions as well and they pop up the program has encountered a error and needs to close. I have checked my computer and all other programs are working and tried to install another program and it is working fine.
