Hello, I notice all the programs I have used for programmig a scanner have been in some sort of spreadsheet format. Is there a way since I notice there is sorta a spreadsheet format in the database to make it so the frequencies can be taken from the site and pasted into a spreadsheet in groups? The ability to get trunked frequencies the way we do is great, but the online database is a matter of a whole buch of cut and paste cell by cell. I do relize there would be no one size fits all format, but if you could take the data and naybe just safely past it into office or something would be good. Users could then format the cells? Could this be done without causing to much problems? Or if this would not work could someone make a spreadsheet template that would work with the current format?

Actually, you can do this as follows:

1) Identify the page you want to bring into Excel. Lets use the Arlington Texas TRS System at:
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=1

2) Open a blank Excel document.

3) Under the "DATA" menu, select "Import External Data --> New Web Query"

4) Past the web page URL into the address bar.

5) Click on the little arrow next to the parts you want to import (it will turn into a check mark), then click IMPORT.

6) Tell Excel what cell to start the import in.

Voila!
