Unfortunately, I didn't catch what unit it was, but I hear on Fulton Fire channel a unit stated they were enroute and switching to TAC 12. Left my scanner in ID search mode, but didn't hear anything. Any ideas?

Tac 12

Mike - not sure, but that MAY be the Johns Creeks FD Tac channel (TG 47376). Try it and see if it fits

I heard a very similar call referencing TAC12 in the context of a Fulton FD unit providing mutual aid to Fairburn and going to TAC12. It was a Fairburn FD TAC channel, but I don't know the ID.

Thats true, but in one county I work in we have an "ICTAC" (1 through 5) its a local countywide mutual aid talk group used for large incidents or multifunctional operations like chases, DUI check points, big narcotics stings, large wrecks, fires, etc. No matter what the agency or rank everyone has the ICTACS, that means if a county roads department truck needs to talk to a city police officer its just a twist on a knob. I dont see a lot of this in the large metro counties. It really makes communication smooth.
