So in other words, you want to be hand fed from the work of others, rather than searching, finding and submitting to help others? Ok we see where this is headed.
Who are you, why are you on every thread I see, and why were you insulting me as someone who was new to radio? Not the kind of person I wan't help from. Thanks everyone else!

Not sure what exactly you call "fun", but i get a kick out of some of the business users out there. Lots of them will say ANY DANG THING over the air. There's a rail service company in Dallas that can get pretty silly at times. Might be good to check out business listings for some laughs.

For sure! That's actually one of the only things I haven't actually listened for, because inherintley, handheld buisness radios won't be as strong as, say, any given 2m repeater or anything in Air-band :) Beacuse I don't live near any businesses, I try to bring my handheld, and scan when I go on trips, or anywhere for the day.

There are a lot of business UHF repeaters out there. They're generally short range, but good to keep in the scanner while driving around town. You might even get lucky like I did and find a wide coverage VHF repeater. Back in Houston, I found an unlicensed VHF repeater being used by a dump truck company.

Trunked systems are another good place to look. Most business trunked users seem to think they're on cellphones, so you never know what you'll hear.

That's a good idea. The only reason I don't do it more is the amount of noise I get when searching, so I just set it to pause on the frequency and then resume scan 2.5s later. Thanks for the advice!

a friend started with a SDR and said he could hear our county without loss as they had just gone to 700 simulcast.
my 396T and 396XT did not do well so we bought a 325P2 and got the same result, but we planned on using it in the car and it does do better.
so the plan included us getting a SDS100 and that one works great with the simulcast.

i do have a bunch of F22 freqs that i have 'vacuumed up if you want them.
they are years old and probably not used anymore.

Hi! It's Deagle again! I was wondering if anyone wanted to just send some cool frequencies here, because my normal programmed channels have been quiet lately. In other news, I am well on my way to getting certified! Just some more studying should do the trick. Thanks everyone!

If you are interested in military aircraft monitoring in the DC/Mid-Atlantic area check out Ron's latest lists in this post --

He updates both several times a year in the Mid-Atlantic forum

I've always wanted to put a radio in my car, perhaps I should get around to that!
If there is any hope of the frequencies working, no harm in sharing them!

the 325 is a handheld, but in Florida you can be a ham so it is legal.
i would check on that first for your area.
i will send the list in a PM.
it will take a couple.

Virginia Law: Virginia law prohibits the use of a police scanner if it is used to aid in the commission of a crime
so you might really look into that

Yeah, but don't worry, they are all encrypted! (Sadly) I checked radio reference a bit ago and saw that, but I don't think that law would be a problem for me either way!
