• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Agree with above. It is probably your settings for the reset or you have alternatives enabled in the sub group.

For resetting to mute it after dispatch, use an auto reset or selective timeout reset. Both will reset without you needing to do anything. One is automatic after dispatch, the other monitors for a time period after dispatch then resets.

Alternatives Box in the sub group means the Isherwood will not just listen for tones. It's listening for tones to open the speak ER during dispatch or any push to talk voice traffic

It's most likely your settings. Can you take a snapshot of the Zone/Key config window for the position that is not muting after the tone activations?

Also, need a snapshot of your Binding Config if this is a talk group activation.

If you haven't used it for your programming, figure 11 on this chart might help you out
Hello, thank your the quick answer to my call for HELP
Here are snapshots of the zone/key config windows and binding config.
When the dispatch ends the pager stays open (unsquelched) for 4-8 seconds and I can hear traffic.
According to what I read under Automatic Reset the pager should mute (squelch) after the dispatchers carrier drops.

OK
Here are snapshots of my zone/key config windows and my binding config.
As I understand it, in Automatic Reset when the dispatcher's carrier drops the pager must mute.
Mine does not.
I continue to hear traffic for 4-8 seconds.
help.

Thank you for the quick answer to HELP ME
For 2 years now I have tried every combination possible.
The pager does not mute (squelch) after the voice announcement ends and the dispatcher's carrier drops.
The pager stays open a few seconds and I can hear other traffic.
I do not want this.
I have tried auto reset and the pager still remains open (un-squelched) for a few seconds.
I do not have alternatives checked.
HELP
