Hi I am looking for the older firmware 1.31 ro add P25 Phase 2 to the G5 pagers does anyone know where I can get a copy I did check Unification site but didn;t find the older firmware thanks. Andy

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Looking at that wiki I'm confused. They talk about the beta features but all those seem to be present in 1.33. Did they just rename it and officially release it?
Can you quote the relevant section? Not sure what sentence(s) you're referring to. The primary "feature" of the 1.40 Beta was Trunking Free Scan which is not available on any Firmware version numbered prior to v1.40 or released after v1.40. Which is also confusing they numbered the beta a few versions ahead of public release, thus all following (public) releases have a lower version number but came after the Beta.
Regardless, the Beta was truly a beta-test. Its primary purpose was testing a feature - Trunking Free Scan - which didn't exist before and won't exist after this beta. Because it's going into their new scanner product. Whenever that happens.
Basically all of the sentences. Freescan, talgroup remove etc.... Mine indicates FW version 1.33-08182022 and has all those features.
EDIT: Oh wait. I reread it. I'm thinking Trunking monitor I guess. Is trunking freescan like a uniden where it searches, finds a control channel then trunks off it?
