G5 programming scenario

Can different trunking systems be assigned to the channel switch?

(as a way of switching while moving geographically between several systems, or, as a way of moving to & from various incidents on different systems?)

Or, must a system be assigned to a zone, which as I understand can only be navigated via menu.

In a G5 VHF/800 is this programming scenario possible, for example:
-switch pos 1: analog/conventional VHF paging channel
-switch pos 2: a VHF P25 trunking system talkgroup scanlist
-switch pos 3: an 800 P25 trunking system talkgroup scanlist
-switch pos 4: analog/conventional 800 tac channel scanlist

Yes. I have several different trunked systems in one zone, and in some cases both conventional and trunked.

Yes you can., I have about 5 different systems in my first zone, some 800 trunking (of different systems), some VHF analog.
Each switch position is independent of the other positions.

The only thing a little odd about the conventional scan is that the scan is from another set of channel positions (in any zone). So I what I did is made a couple of zones at the end that contain the channels I want to scan, and then set that list within a position in zone 1. This does NOT apply to trunked scan...that's easier. (I could be missing something so if someone knows otherwise for conventional channels, please say so!)
