I am trying to find the new digital frequencies that Gainesville police department, the DPS along with fire, and sheriff. This has happened in the last two weeks. Some of the time they will use the analog system because they do not have the new radios in all cars. I have a Radio Shack 106. I just need the frequencies.

Thanks for your help

If they aren't in our database yet, time to go to our Florida forum - where it's likely someone will have them there...73 Mike

The database would have been a good place to start.

Hall County 9-1-1: Public Safety Radio Trunking System, Gainesville, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies

Good luck listening to Gainesville PD, SO, or anything but FD and the jail work crews. This system has been up for quite a while.

Assuming you were in Florida...

I just looked in our database, and it seems the Gainesville system has rebanded, as shown here...

Gainesville / Alachua County Trunking System, Gainesville, Florida - Scanner Frequencies

As this is a mixed mode system, you will need to install a custom table along with the new freqs which are 15 mhz down from their previous ones. Our GRE.RS software article has information on how to apply the rebanding tables for the 3 most popular software packages (Win500, PSREdit500, ARC500)

I should have said Gainesville, Texas 76240. The Police department has made the change. The DPS has had digital for some time now. The Cooke County Sheriff is changing over. The Gainesville Fire department is changing over.I have scanners analog and digital. I just need to find the frequenices.

Thanks

Looking at the Gainsville TX FD's FCC license (WQIN432 - ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WQIN432 - GAINESVILLE, CITY OF), it appears that they've simply added the digital emission designator for standard P-25 digital to their existing license so the frequency won't change, but they'll move from standard analog to P-25 digital. They're license allows both modes so they may possibly switch between the two as a backup, if necessary.

If you click on the frequency it'll show 11K0F3E - standard narrow-band analog voice and 8K10F1E - Standard P-25 digital voice. If you see the old emission mode of 20K0F3E, that's for standard wide-band analog voice.

Please note that the PL tones or digital equivalent NAC is not regulated by the FCC, but is assigned by the agency so you'll need to do a scan to see what they're using, if anything. Once you confirm that they're using P-25 digital on those frequencies (and found any associated NAC), please submit an update to the RR Database so the changes can be published.
