Article is a bit misleading. It says they're upgrading to a system that allows them to communicate with all of the agencies in the county, but that already exists. They're on the same system everyone else is using, unless this means they're going to MSWIN which makes no sense. No one in Jackson County is on MSWIN.

I don't see any TGs for Jackson County on MSWIN in the database.
In the same vein, I don't see about 25-30 of the talkgroups I sent to a db admin for the Jackson County system in the 'database'. Likewise, none of the simplex analog or P25 stuff made it.

Hmmm, maybe you could try submitting it again or asking why they didn't add them or something? Or you already did?

No one in Jackson County is on MSWIN. I personally think the statements made to the news media were inaccurate. Everyone in Jackson County in on the county owned 800mhz P16 system. All of the fire/ems/roads etc. are analog, and all of the police departments are digital. Of course that includes Gautier. The story reads as if Gautier currently has no way to talk to Ocean Springs, or Pascagoula, or the Sheriff etc. but that's not true everyone has the same radios on the same system.
