Does anybody know if anyone has ever put forth the effort to create an encryption keyloading software package that works on any P25 compliant radio and isn't an expensive, rigorously controlled product from a major radio company?
It seems to me that it's a relatively simple concept. Certainly there's no NEED to do this with dedicated
hardware, all it takes is the right app to generate the data and the appropriate cable to send it to the radio.
The Harris key manager software is just that...software. But software that has installation and operation restrictions on it. Which I think is actually kind of silly, but it is what it is.
I can't believe that after all these years nobody has come up with a software equivalent of the good old T3011DX keyloader or some other newer KVL like a 4000.
