good cable for the value?

Looking for some decent cable for my 3 antenna's Antenex 800mhz 6db, RS Discone, and 102" CB steel whip. Need aprox. 35 feet for each run. (105' total) I work for RS and get my discount on discounted RG-8 bulk that we have hidden in the back room. I can get the 105 feet for about $27.77. Should I go for this or spend a bit more and get something better, lmr400 for example. limited RadioShack Associate income... so i don't want to break the bank on cable, as im getting decent reception on the CHEAP RG-58 that im using now. Would love to get any suggestions. Thanks

RG-6 has less loss at 800 MHz and is cheaper the RG-8.

good to know, is there a significant difference between 6 and 6u or qs (quald shield) at least for my applications?

Not unless a) you have a lot of very local interference (local to the cables) and b) you run the scanners in a shielded room.
