I doubt radiocompany is going any lower than $414. They have the lowest price on the net by a fair margin already; what would be their incentive to sell PSR-500s at $399?

Is the 414.00 price for the PSR-500 onthe radiocompany.com legit or is there a catch.I am thinking about getting it now instead of later.Do you think it could come down more. That price they have now is a deal!

I don't think there are any catches to that price. When I talked to Mike on Thurs. about a PSR-600 he mentioned to me he had the 500 in stock at $414.95. I also doubt the price will go any lower, in fact, if anything, it might go higher. Their ground shipping is very reasonable at $7.95, so I doubt you'll see a much better deal than that from a reputable dealer.

If you have any questions call their 800 number on Monday and talk to Michael (Mike) about his products. He is very personable and easy to talk to.

PSR 500/600 prices

It looks like demand has gone up for the PSR-500 & 600 at the Radiocompany. The price is now listed at $444.95 + shipping.

I personally wanted to join this forum and thank the many members for your support.
Thank you greatly "Hi Speed" for spreading the word.
Sales for GRE scanners has been crazy lately and GRE has raised dealer prices on some models over $30
We are very sorry for any increases in price, however the pennies on the dollar over cost forced us on some models to raise prices.
We are a family owned company and encourage strong customer relations. Again we apprecaite this forum greatly and look forward to supporting it in the future however we can.

They are a good shop, and have heard good things about them as well.
They'll more then likely will be raising prices as well since the price increase was
across the board. I'd jump on them at $430 since thats prob the remaining stock!
Good find.

Wow! That is really gracious of you to make such a nice comment about a competitor. I have looked at your Web page and wonder where you are located. I was unable to find an address.

Would have liked to have taken advantage of your prices before the increase.

They are in Arizona, but I believe they ship their scanners from an Ohio warehouse.

Sorry about the price increase. We sold many scanners to Poland (yes Poland) and ran out of stock quickly.
So we do not have any of our NOS stock left at the lower prices. Some dealers like R&R prob have
stock still before the increase from the factory. They are offering very good prices, and I'd feel confident
buying from them.
We are trying to figure out a way of offer RR forum member discounts. This is a honest evaluation of what we've seen but the RR customers have been 100% easier and more professional then the casual scanner user. The RR guys know exactly what they want and are on/off the phone quickly and politely.
Often times buying online even.
The avg customer calls 2-5x and asks a zillion questions. That costs us far more in time. So after the backorder is over we plan on having a RR forum member discount. Not sure what it will be or how we'll do it but it is coming soon.

Well the 500/600 stock should be back in on the 7th. They've stuck to this number, and it seems to be true.
The 300s they say on or about the 21st.

Mike, once I decided I needed a scanner, and then found out you guys were selling them, I knew I couldn't buy from anyone else. Back a couple years ago when I bought a stryker radio from you, I was blown away by the level of care you show customers. So when I found RR here, I had to pass the word along. I would rather even pay a few extra dollars from you, then risk getting crappy service from some random company trying to save myself $10.

You know, on a side note I noticed a radioreference.com ad on the back of my PSR-100 printed manual that came with my scanner...

Well I apprecaite that. The scanner business is really tough. To be honest we've noticed over many years people just simply go with the lowest price. Its like selling items at a hamfest, Ive lost sales becuase someone knew of someone 2000 miles away who sold a item for .49 less then I did. Its just the nature of the business. However the RR guys seems to be a different class of user. By the end of this week I should figure out something to be able to offer them with the lowest price.

By the way, 500/600 GRE Scanners are NOLONGER ON BACKORDER!
