There's no way to show which scan list(s) an object is in while scanning. The main reason seems to be this: since an object can be in more than one list, which one should the radio display?BOBRR said:While Scanning scanlists with Conv. objects in them, but stopped via the MAN button, the display shows the ScanList Number, and also the Object number.
But while actually scanning, there doesn't seem to be any indication of which ScanList it is actually on, at the moment. Any way to tell the ScanList Name, or it's Number ?
BOBRR said:Hi Don,
I realize that I didn't ask my question clearly.
What I meant was, during the scanning, but Not stopped on any Object, is there any indication of which ScanList Number or name the unit is currently in the middle of ?

Even if there was an indication, what's the point? It's scanning so fast that you'll see it now and a second later it has moved on through another 3 more scanlists. You can see how fast it's going when you use the remote monitor feature in Don's own software. In my case, it takes about 2 seconds to go through half a dozen different sites that have about 300 talkgroups associated to them.BOBRR said:What I meant was, during the scanning, but Not stopped on any Object, is there any indication of which ScanList Number or name the unit is currently in the middle of ?

It's hard for new users to navigate such a lengthy thread, and I'm sure that it's also a bit of a burden for GRE developers & beta testers, and software developers for PSREdit, Win500, etc. to navigate it all. Miss a couple of days, and there's a lot of stuff in front of you.
It seems to me that if we formed more specific threads, there would be fewer repeated questions, and also much quicker answers from folks who can lend a hand. It might also be a help to folks working on Wiki's, FAQ's etc.
There are so many messages in this thread now, that even an electronic search becomes cumbersome.
It may be also that higher-end models like the PSR500/600, Uniden 396/996 etc. generate so much message traffic that they need their own subforums--kinda like the 'breaking news' subforums in the state forums.
Just food for thought.
