Can anyone tell me if it's possible to select multiple objects in the software more easily than holding Ctrl and clicking on each one. I want to rearrange some scan list and unless I'm missing something the only way I see to do it is to manually select, highlight and reassign them using the scan list assignment pop up box.

Please tell me there is a faster and easier way.

Is there a way to see the "notes" column in the software, similar to Win500? Hard to better alphatag or recognize some of the TGs in a large system (MPSCS) without that info.

If the objects are contiguous, you should be able to click / scroll / shift-click to select a block of them. Or, if you want to select "most" of them, click on one and hit CTRL-A, then CTRL-click on the ones you don't want.

Basically, it ought to work like any other normal Windows app.

Yes! That did it. Thanks!!!

This thing is freakin awesome. I hope they make a base unit. I'm selling all the others if they do.

Have you adjusted the "LiteLevel" setting? You may want to, to see maximum battery life even with the various lights turned on.

I've changed that, and it has made a difference. Still a third of the battery left at six hours.

i need more work on this myself and a customer crashed scanner as we tried to load ALL SAFE-T sites and ALL talkgroups into one scanlist.
Appears scanner cant handle that or sd card cant as it corrupted card.

Think I will next try ONE site with ALL talk groups.

I sure couldnt put all Indiana safet sites and all talkgroups in maybe I try again latter.

The PSR-800 doesn't "care about" number of talkgroups. I believe it's been tested on Michigan's MPSCS, with all sites and talkgroups programmed, as well as ~1500 RadioIDs.

I've been running it for months on a local Mot3600 system which, while it only has ~50 talkgroups, has all ~65000 possible RadioIDs programmed (of course, only a small fraction of those are actually used - but I've got them all programmed).

Working well as a signal for UniTrunker with IF output and a mono cable to microphone input to PC soundcard. Watching a ProVoice system at the moment.

From the app or the radio library?

I loaded all of SAFE-T with no problem at all. If you do it in the radio or via USB cable it may take a while, but it does work fine. Best thing is to use a card reader. Much faster.

PS- I agree. Kudos to GRE. Very nice radio :)

I'm picking up two sites that I normally only pick up in the mornings or during band openings. Earlier today I was able to pick up an 800MHz tower in a metal/concrete building surrounded with electronic and industrial equipment. So I would say the sensitivity and reception is on a par with the PSR-500. This is with the RadioShack 800MHz antenna.

By the way the recording playback sounds as good as the original comm. It's great to be able to record a specific talkgroup.

Well, my Alkaline batteries died at about seven hours with continuous uninterrupted use and lots of menu access. About half the time with backlight and keypad lighting at high then low setting. As soon as I plugged in the patch cord and turned IF on the batteries died. Upon reset the batteries did recover for a short time, but were quickly spent again. However the battery meter was displaying three quarters full when the initial recovery started until a quick shutdown. The IF mode seems to use the battery up much quicker than normal usage.

One more note about the backlight setting. I notice some flicker on the LCD when set to the lowest light setting when audio is present or the IF output is in use.

The belt clip assembly is well built and swivels 180 degrees. It has a secure snap in place clip to the radios back clover plate. The radio itself is built like a small 2 Lb. brick.

Yes, I have put V-Scanner II to good use already. The Scan set feature will come in handy for the road.
