Have a question for the group, I just received this psr-800 today... I have it programmed for the Lompoc ca. FCI Federal prison.. the issue I'm having, is that it stops on sites, but no audio when it stops on the channels.. any help be appreciated..

It is hard to say without seeing the programming, it could be encrypted audio and set not to receive the audio, could be set to receive the wrong mode (FM or Type II vs P25, Analog vs Digital), or it could be stopping on a data signal though that is unlikely given what I know about BOP systems.
Is this the system you're attempting to monitor?
There's only one site listed. With that said there haven't been any RRDB updates since 2012. Maybe the facility changed from an analog to a digital mode since then? Just an assumption

its not encrypted, I'm sure of that.. not sure where to look on settings for p25, Motorola ect.. I'll take a look again.. thanks

While many prisons are still using Type II some have switched to P25.
Its digital I'm sure of that..Is this the system you're attempting to monitor?

yes.. I can't find in settings if it's on p25
Did you apply a custom bandplan? Pretty sure that system will need one and it doesn't appears to be in the RR database.
Try programming it as a Type II system. Also, keep in mind the CC changes nightly.
You might want to ask the mods to move this to either the Federal forum, or my suggestion would be the California Forum and see if someone out that way can help you, since people who aren't from there are probably not listening to them. But this isn't a GRE issue.

The database shows Lompoc Correctional Complex as being a Motorola Type II system, In the PSR-800 EZ Scan software, it needs to be entered as a MOTOROLA system. Under Site Options, you need to enter the following custom trunking tables:
