Scanning last night with my new scanner. I am just trying to figure out all the freqs. Hoping to catch the private channesl the police use.

Anyways, I listened to one last night and I think it is Greenbrier police. The freq is 460.050. The only thing I have to base this on is the fact they mentioned something at the movie gallery. The only one I know of is in greenbrier. But I was also picking up stuff from sumner co. In fact one of them 460.075, has 3 difft licenses for it. One for sumner co, one for portland (also sumner co) and one for white house (part of which is in sumner co). So I have no idea if that "movie gallery" store was in greenbrier or not.

Thanks for any help

There are two possibilites. Both Dickson County and Lavergne use 460.050 as their primary dispatch. Both Dickson and Lavergne have Movie Gallery stores. The best way to tell if you are listening to Dickson or Lavergne is the tone.

BTW, what do you mean by private channel? The only way a channel is private is if it is encrypted, in which case all that you are going to here is a lot of noise.

What I meant by private channel was the freq that the rob co police use for non dispatch stuff. IE, hey 540 call me on my cell. At least that is what I think they use it for. Several years ago, it would be "Hey did you see that babe in that car?" :) haha.

Thanks for the help on the 460.050

I found out Greenbrier/ridgetop/coopertown/cross plains all use the Rob Co sheriff freq.

Lavergne's signal sucks. I would hazzard to say that more than likely from his location it was Dickson Central. They have a much stronger signal. There is a Movie Gallery on Murfreesboro Road in the center of town of Lavergne.
