Ocean City Fire/EMS Dispatch Channel Question

I know a few years ago, Ocean City has stopped simulcasting Fire/EMS Dispatch on the old VHF Frequency and went full P25, but I pulled the eDispatches log for the house fire last night (8/8/25) and surprisingly heard what sounded to be an analog transmission! Can anyone else confirm that VHF Analog is back active?

Google Drive Link for the audio clip in question below.

Thanks in advance!

They operate on the Atlantic County system but the radio reference for Cape May County says:
Their VHF FD-1 channel simulcasts FD dispatch from TG 31201 on the Atlantic County P25 System also OC will be keeping all their VHF channels for back up to the AC P25 system and for mutual aid with surronding towns.

I know the RR DB says that, but I know I took my VHF Minitor VI down in 2023, and found out the hard way that the VHF was killed off, that's why I was lost to hear that audio now.

So tonight I caught another audio piece from eDispatches Call Log for Ocean City.

And I also got this screenshot of what looks (and sounds to be multiple instances of the same tone/audio capture, and on some captures it seems as if the scanner fights to receive the P25 TG and whatever analog frequency!

I don't know if whomever runs it for the city is testing/trying something or what!

Maybe they have a P25 radio hooked up to record for eDispatches? I haven't heard of that though. Most places just rebroadcast it somewhere analog.

Broadcastify also has Ocean City FD up but labeled 154.4450MHz Ocean City Fire Rescue Live Audio Feed

I know eDispatches still has 154.445 listed, but from listening in the past, it's been 99% P25 Traffic.

However I can say that all this week I've seen eDispatches capture both P25 and Analog tone voce detections.

I will be heading down the shore this coming week with a scanner that can do both, so I will update what I find out!

On a semi-related note, is Strathmere still dispatched on their own frequency of 154.340 or are they now paged on Cape May County Fire 1/Dispatch (154.130)

Always loved the "wide awake wide awake' pre-alert
Back on the early 80s when I first got into EMS, the squad I was a member of and Atlantic City shared 154.025 and they also did "wide awake, wide awake". The responding members who used CBs, let others know we were responding and would initially call wide awake, wide awake to see who else was responding.

Salem County is in the process of changing to a P25 Digital system but will continue to dispatch on 501.03750 so Pagers won't need to be replaced. County has patched that frequency to TGID 1001 so Unit radios will be able to monitor dispatching.

Somewhat of an update to this: I I'm currently down here on vacation for the week, and can report it is NOT being simulcasted on the old 154.445! But I'm still getting analog and P25 paging Transmissions on eDispatches! Just cannot tell what frequency is being on! I have the old OC VHF FG and Cape May Co. Fire 1 being scanned as tests right now.

I heard on the other thread that Salem is in the process of doing that, however this thread is for Ocean City in Cape May County.
