GSP Post 51 Communications

Is GSP post 51 that is open now in Duluth operating off the Atlanta Troop C talkgroup for their operations or do they have their own talkgroup on either city of Atlanta's system or Gwinnett's system?

All traffic I've heard on the scanner is on their VHF channels here in the county.

I have heard them on troop C on the ATDTRS, but after 1800 they always say "Gwinnett units switch over" but not sure if they mean VHF or to the Gwinnett county DTRS.

While in downtown Atlanta recently, I noticed a building across from the Fulton County Justice Center on Central Avenue that says "GEORGIA STATE PATROL - POST 50". Anyone know whether this post is to guard the Capitol? I thought the Capitol had its own police force. Also, do you know if Post 50 is also on the Atlanta DTRS along with Troop C?

Post 50 *is* the Capitol Police according to the GSP website description of the functions of the various posts.
