Good afternoon,

I seem to have lost all law enforcement in the EDACS Harrison County Pubilic Safety. Not sure if its something I did or if they just went encrypted. The same day I did turn on DMR but not sure that would have any effect on law enforcement only.

I have a SDS200 which has been working great since June, but last night it stoppped. I still get all fire, from all cities but law enforcement from all cites- i get no sound. It stops on the channel but no sound.

Could someone on the coast confirm if they can still hear these frequencies, Thanks in advnce for your help,

Yes, Harrison County Public Safety is still using the EDACS system

Do you have the bait-n-switch ProVoice upgrade? All LE on the EDACS system is ProVoice mode. I'm listening at this moment and nothing has changed.

Hum so it must be me or the scanner. I do have the EDACS upgrade, it’s been working great since June. I added the DMR upgrade and a firmware update around the same time it stopped. It is strange that only EDACS police frequencies I can’t hear. They stop and show in the screen just no sound. All EDACS fire from all cities I hear. Just can’t hear cities police on EDACS.

I also have been running P25 ie. MHP, Hancock County MSWIN systems all worked great.

Right now I only have EDACS Harrison County Public Safety loaded to troubleshoot.

Hey Wilrobnson, can you confirm what firmware revision you’re running? I’m thinking maybe this update may have had issues.

I had just update to:

Main version 1.23.20
Sub version. 1.03.15
Release date was 10/17/25

I have a service ticket into Uniden, they are looking into it,

I’ve seen other reports of ProVoice being broken in the latest FW. @jasonhouk

I run the following:
Main: Version 1.121.00
Sub: Version 1.02.01

I had trouble in the past with firmware updates on my SDS-100 killing my ProVoice reception so I am not planning on updating again if I dont have to.

On latest FW? I no longer have any ProVoice in my area to confirm or negate

I have had conversations with Uniden regarding the issues with provoice and the latest firmware. They are aware of the issue and are diligently working to remedy the situation. I will post more when I know more but my recommendation is don’t update firmware until something firm from Uniden.

I'm glad I read this before deciding to update my FW... I'm not having any issues receiving anything in Harrison.
