I hope this one goes through.. I am wondering if anyone is having the same issue. I can get hanover fine in some areas of the county yet 3 miles out from tower I get no reception. What is best option I have a pro-2096 and now have a new 3 foot with magnet base antenna from RS.. Do i need an outdoor antenna and a preamp.. Im in the atlee 301 area.. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

I'm pretty sure that the county itself is having the same issue, and the area around Atlee & 301 is particularly bad. THey would do better to bootleg off of Hanover High School's UHF repeater (which I can hear as far away as the Henrico Courthouse <g>)

Yeah Hanover's system tends not to penetrate too far outside of the county. I am guessing they are hoping to do better with their new P25 system. Not sure if that system is still going to be operational on the announced date or not.
