I thought I had all of the TG and Tac channels for Harnett County programmed in but even on open bank which allows un-stored TG's to come through from all over the state I never heard a word spoken on the "Harnett Sheriff" channel that they were suppose to be on and talking between SHP and the Sheriff's Department.... unless its on the 2nd tower as a TG that is 700mhz instead of the 800mhz range that everything else is on....

I am still wondering when they are going to find out the individual department private talk groups up... and I figured the water department for the county would end up on the viper system.... Dunn's public works is going to keep using the Dunn Edacs system since it belongs to the city of Dunn already (plus its a back up for the PD in case the viper system goes down.......... AGAIN LOL

Harnett actually worked the Dean Rd event on their regular channels. They kept their deputies for the majority of the time on LE1 and SHP worked their own channel. When the SRT supervisor arrived he had monitored the SHP channel in order to communicate with the Zebra air unit.
It got to the point where they cleared LE1 and moved to a Sheriffs Office Patrol channel.
I have a listing of channels departments have been assigned (I use that term loosely). They are actually channels that are showing up in the database however they can be used by the county as needed if the poop hits the fan and they another agency needs to use them.
