If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello All,

This is my first thread started here or anywhere on the internet! Thanks for all your input in advance.

I am trying to figure out how to import and export data in RPM 14. Whenever I use the data extractor the files all come out as .csv which is great, however I can't seem to figure out the way to import .csv files into the mission plan I am building.

I don't believe you can do it with CSV files.

You can, under conventional frequency sets (both analog and P25) right click the named set, and click "Make Global Set". Then in the new mission plan, in the same location, use the same name, and click "Use Global Set" and it imports the set.

Thanks for the reply, I will give that a shot. The Harris software is definitely a bit of a learning curve compared to the programs I am familiar with.

That worked great for mission plan to mission plan. Thanks

I wish I could import date via .csv though from my other radio loads. It would save a whole lot of time...

So… if you have RPM2, you can import to that, then make the set global, then change the global set file extension to what RPM14 expects, then use that global set (LOL)… it’s not an officially supported workflow (L3H doesn’t consider RPM2 global sets compatible with RPM14 global sets, but it seems to work in my extremely limited testing).

I wouldn’t use this in a professional or public safety environment, but it may work for you! Just know that your mileage may vary!
