Any big city is going to be interesting for a ride along. Hartford isn't Dallas, but it has a pretty high crime rate. Tewksbury OTOH, it's pretty rural as I recall, although it's been years since I was there.

Well, Dallas is not Los Angeles and be thankful of that! Haven't got a ride along in LA but I've seen enough stuff to know I don't want to be a cop there.

LAPD has long had retention problems. People go there for the excellent training, get some experience, then move on to small cities that pay more and are less dangerous.

Every city has some part that has high crime and is dangerous for officers, but in LA it's bigger. Then again, Dallas is bigger than Plano.
