Do you have any of the following enabled:

Channel Priority
Weather Priority
Close Call (other than DND mode)

If so, disable them (or put CC in DND mode). They mandate time sharing of the receiver.

Since you have 3, you can try different settings and or different antennas. You could then tell if any changes you make had an effect.

Information about the system you are listening to, why you can only hear partial transmissions (symptom), and your general location in relation to the repeaters, may help someone give you better guidance.

... it something called LSM... look it up in the forums and on wiki... it depends on different factors but the p2 scanners of today will not work on all p2 simulcast systems... there is much denial and rationalization blaming antennas and poorly maintained systems ect... the problem is the radios...in my area we have a number of LSM systems and professional users like my self who need dependable radios were forced to get pro Motorola radios to do our job... there is a video on u tube I was involved in making called p2 smackdown where we tested all types of p2 scanners with LSM systems... the forums are full of good suggestions for fixed location users... for mobile applications as you move around in between the towers there is no scanner on the market yet that will work dependably... you will always have missed transmissions... my peers and I will never buy a scanner again until a new generation of radios are made that can handle LSM dependably... until the denial turns to anger the 2 scanner companies will continue to defraud us by selling "p2 capable scanners" that don't work on all p2 systems in all applications... some people get lucky and don't have the problem because of location, terrain, distance and position from towers... it's no different than some people have dimming issues with x36's and some don't... it's luck... when we are spending that kind of money on radios then luck should be left in the casino...good luck...learn all you can about it... Bob...

Do you have the latest firmware update? It helped me on the P25 decode on NJISP. There are a few settings on the wait time and threshold you have to play with. My friend did mine and it made it a lot better.
