Helicopters

Just wondering if Pheonix PD only uses one freq for the helicopters? I see it listed as 123.5000 as PPD Heli and 123.0250 as all other valley pd, are there anymore than this I never really hear any traffic on them.

They'd still use these frequencies if communicating with other nearby helicopters, but the majority of their comm's will be on dedicated police channels.

Yes the 123.5000 and 123.0250 freq's are used to talk to other helicopters and planes in the area. All the other police related activity that the Phoenix helicopter is working with dispatch and ground units will be communicated through their Digital Trunked Radio System which the Pro 97 cannot monitor unfortunately.
