What does Duke Lifeflight, UNC Aircare, and Wake Med Helios use for LZ communications? Maybe Fire Dept. frequencies? If anyone knows, please let me know. I know they use ID for LZWEST.

I assume you are talking about Alamance County!
If so, all the Helos listed above use LZWEST or (rarely) LZCENTRAL, if operating in Alamance.

Not sure about Other counties. Some counties have dedicated LZ TGIDs, others don't.

UNC Air Care is also on VIPER "UNCAirCareOrange" Talk Group so if coordinating LZ with agency on the ground also using VIPER you will here all comm on respective VIPER talk groups..

Experienced above during a medevac from a major accident on Hwy 54 West toward Alamance...

At Vidant and most other flight programs in the state we make onscene contact on either the LZ talkgroups on VIPER or we use what ever county we are contactings radio freqs. As far as initial dispatch we have our own talkgroup on VIPER.

In Rowan County when Med Center Air (Carolinas Medical Center) or Air Care (WFUBMC aka Baptist Hospital) come in and do a hot load or on scene landing they will either use SAL ROAMER DISP on the Salisbury TRS or State Fire (PL 146.2).

More times than not here they will use the Roamer Disp TG since both CMC and Air Care have access to our system.
