It's nearly impossible to answer this without a lot more details. Did you program this manually or with software? If with software, which app? Specifically what are you trying to hear? Go to our database (the link is at the top in a dark blue toolbar) and supply the URLs for what you want to hear.

It kinda sounds like you have some SQKs (system quick keys) turned off when they should be on.

Are you using an outdoor antenna or just an indoor whip?

Too many questions, but we can get you started thinking in the right way with the links found in this article;

I see the database for the Spokane Regional system. If you use ARC-XT or FreeScan, please post your file and I would be happy to take a look at it. I prefer ARC-XT if you have it.

Yes i put in simulcast and MT Spokane
I think I’m out of range for the other sites.
maybe I’m just expecting too much out of it.

on my G5 I have a simulcast and that does not miss a heartbeat at all

If you have ARC-XT or FreeScan, you can send the file to a compressed folder and you can attach that file. There are only certain file types that will work.

It looks like you have system keys for each site. Can you turn each site on and off using the system keys? What software are you using to do your programming?

If you're in a simulcast area, time to get one of the SDS models. They are designed specifically to handle simulcast.

Here is the completed file. Site quick keys follow:
1. SRESC Simulcast
2. SRECS EWU
3. SRECS Tekoa
4. SRECS Williams Lake
5. SRECS Booth
6. SRECS Coe Road
7. SRECS Scoop
8. SRECS Hoodoo
9. SRECS Mt Spokane
10. SRECS Upper Mica
11. SRECS Jail

Here are the group quick keys:
1. Spokane Regional
2. WA State Patrol
3. Spokane Sheriff
4. Spokane Police
5. County Fire
6. Emergency Management
7. Spokane Airport
8. Cheney

You can toggle the 11 sites on and off with system quick keys 1-11 by entering the corresponding numbers on the keypad. For 2 digit numbers, press the decimal point first. I would start by turning off 2-11 with only the Simulcast site remaining. Then, you can try with each individual site or combination of sites to see what works best. It looks like Simulcast and Mt Spokane are the 2 main sites. Let me know if you need any help with the group quick keys. The fire administration talkgroups are locked out. You can unlock them if you want to monitor them.

Save the zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted File with ARC-XT and upload to your scanner. First, I would lock out or delete any other files in the scanner.

If you have any simulcast problems, you can try turning on the attenuator, repositioning the antenna, and moving the scanner. I left the AGC off since it can amplify any simulcast audio problems. Also, set your squelch to minimum.
