I'm new to trying to decode utility signals. I use MultiPSK mostly, referencing SigIDwiki.

I see this same pattern at 8,549.920, 8,799.920 and 8,749.920 KHz but I can't decode it. The vertical lines are at about 125 Hz spacing.

Thanks.

Bill did you check the UDXF logs to see if this had already been reported? You can also search the messages with these frequencies. the logs are kept in the files area of the group, and you can search the messages online.

If not, report these there. It's much more likely you will get a response, even if you don't include the JPEGs. Always put the UTC time in there too. There are a lot of digital folk there that are likely to be able to identify this. Maybe these are HF trading?

You would go to Files / Logs and you will see 2 rather large files there - one a cumulative log for 2022 the other for 2023. Use a good unzipper (7-Zip is free and works well). You can use your favorite word processor, text editor, excel, etc. to do searches.

I would round your searches up or down depending on what you have - i.e. your 8549.92 might be found under 8550.

I will suggest that those 2 files be moved to the Database area as they're the closest things we would have for an 'utilities' db...

No you're simply looking in the wrong place. This is where you want to be

RR has nothing at all to do with this...look to the left when you bring up the page

Well I did start off by saying that I'm a complete idiot... THANK YOU!
I found it. My next job is to read the "Read This" by Ary... then start educating myself on how to use the data.
The "connection" between RR and UDXF has me pretty much confused but I have joined both. I'm consuming information and learning every day. Both sites are bookmarked. Lots of listening and learning are ahead of me. (Also on WSPR pretty much whenever I'm not using the radio for "listening".)
Again, thanks!

NP; just keep in mind that there really is no actual connection between RR and the UDXF. We do have many links in our wiki that point to various things at the UDXF website, but Ary doesn't know about RR (although Lindsay may well know about the UDXF). The 'connection' is one of sharing data, nothing more Very typical of many such websites. We even have a small gateway in our wiki that joins the 2 logically, but it's not a hard physical connection

Keep them apart, my paduwon, and all will be well ...Mike

Mike - is it OK to send log entries when I don't know the mode or station... I have a jpg of the waterfall (time and freq).

Or is it better to send that kind of report in a different way?

They are very probably NOT HF trading. They look like possibly local interference. An often forgotten place to put signals trying to be identified is in reddit in #signalidentification (~9700 members). I and others who identify signals hang out there and sometimes are better than other sources.

I've learned to search the "logs" and the "messages". That advice was hugely helpful, so thanks (again). However...

Nothing there. So I'm off to Reddit.

I'm coming around to the idea that it was likely done by Professor Plum with a wrench in the dining room...
