Help with KC Mo area

Just purchased a BCD436HP, and I'm having trouble navigating the sentinal database to build my Fav lists. I added a bunch of cities but scanner only picks up 3 and I'm not getting any trunking for kc mo for example. I've had scanners in the past that were all manually programed, the new way of adding freqs has me puzzled.can I just add a whole county like Jackson for instance or do I have to add one freq at a time.

Any help or tips are appreciated

Simulcast distortion may severely hinder your scanning efforts if you're listening to Kansas City on MARRS. You'd be much better off with an SDS100 (or SDS200) to monitor systems with simulcast cells

To help with simulcast distortion, try unplugging the antenna, straighten out a large paperclip, and put the paperclip into the bnc antenna connector. Sometimes this helps with strong distortion. Also, enter the frequency or frequencies of the tower nearest to you and scan those freqs looking for talkgroups. However, a lot of law enforcement around the area are no fully encrypted so you will not hear a lot of police agencies anymore.
