• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

According to this link http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=933 , the system is the IN SAFE-T system. You need to program the Crawfordsville freqs and Talkgroups (ID's).

Freqs with Alpha tags as follows:
859.4875 Crawfordsville
866.4875 Crawfordsville
866.8875 Crawfordsville
867.4125 Crawfordsville
867.9375 Crawfordsville
868.4625 Crawfordsville
868.7625 Crawfordsville
868.9875 Crawfordsville

Talkgroups with Alpha Tags as follows:
12992 S-T Police Admin
13008 S-T PD Car 2 Car
13024 S-T PD Dispatch
13040 S-T PD Detective
13056 S-T PD SpResTeam
13072 S-T FireDispatch
13088 S-T FireTactical
13104 S-T EMS Dispatch

The Cheat Sheet I provided in my previous provides step by step procedures for making the above entries.

If set up correctly, and scanning in ID SCAN Mode, your scanner will display Crawfordsville on line 4 and the talkgroup Alpha Tag on line 3. Line 2 will display the Control Channel freq and line 1 will be flashing the ID number associated with the Alpha Tag on line 4.

The S-T is to indicate you are scanning the Safe-T bank. You can modify Alpha Tags to suit your needs but maintain 16 characters or less.

The first part is for Motorola Type I or IIi Systems. Start over and skip to second section (Motorola Type II or EDACS Systems). At step 7 in this section press 1 which is for the Safe-T Motorola II 800 system.
