Ok that would go with my theory that it’s a patch talkgroup then...common with Harris systems. The question is, what frequency or talkgroups are they patching to create that talkgroup.

i do believe when ems gets toned out you will hear a very short tone over 46.36 which is a very old ems frequency, its not even a whole tone and no voice

We need to change that then. Either someone with Unitrunker, or perhaps just make a note in the forum of the first TG then make note, “ems patches on successive TG’s.”

The proper thing to say for EMS is “1255” is EMS tone out.

3001 is EMS Dispatch(and their equivalent of fireground, as it seems they use it for both).

As for the patching I have no idea what to, or why they’d need to?? Couldn’t just pick 12555? I don’t understand Harris systems all that well. But they’re are a lot of 125xx as I did see in a friend of mine’s Unitrunker feed.

Think we need to cleanup their EMS TG’s a bit. But alas, I need to monitor it more when I’m mobile.

Ok. Ops or not, that seems to be their “dispatch” channel. All their radio traffic that I’ve seen, and most according to the UniTrunker feed I’ve seen is on 3001.

So leaving everything as it is seems kind of confusing no?

they call in service and respond on ems ops 1

Ok. I’m not disagreeing(over computer it’s hard to explain). Is there actual “dispatching” since they have on-duty crews? I would imagine only if another call/backup needed.

I imagine on-duty crew just rig up and talk on 3001?

It is messy. I don’t changing stuff unless I am 100% sure. I’m hesitant to do anything with Wayne. It’s a confusing enough system and way they do things as it is.

if they have a full crew in service i suppose they can call them on 3001 and send them, if not they will be toned out and dispatched on the tg's mentioned above. But in the EMS radio's 3001 is listed as ems ops 1.

Yeah when there is a duty crew on (Singular) there typically won't be a tone out just a "Headquarters to 972" (Typical duty rig) and theyll give them the info. If its a rescue call, 2nd rig call, etc youll hear a tone out and whats going on. As stated 3001 is their "main channel" not sure where 12555 is coming from but ill check it out.

Also just to clarify a few other posts, the WFAS does have multiple buildings, Commonly referred to as Uptown and Downtown. Uptown is their main building on Hamburg Turnpike and Squad Place, Housed there are 4 Rigs (972, 974, 978, 973), the Rescue (976) and support pickups/trailers are transferred between there and the Goodyear Building on Hamburg and Alps that they share with the FD's Hazmat/Rescue team.

Downtown is behind the old Post office on Mountainview Blvd across from Wayne Fire Company 1. The Medical Ambulance bus (Not sure on its identifier I think its 980?) and one rig (971) are housed here, they also do their extrication training in the back as well as have meetings and training's in the upstairs room.

Also, all "full members" (Anyone not on probation) carry full Harris P7300 radios as any member can respond "to the scene" or to the building for all calls, second calls, rescues, etc.

Downtown is #8 Rohrbach Memorial Way, named for a past Chief.
When did 973 move uptown? All the odd numbers were downtown previously.

Yeah like I said behind the old post office.

And there’s only one rig Downtown because of the MAB, can’t fit another ambulance down there with that there.

Thanks for checking out the TG’s.

Maybe if best to see what is actually programmed in the radios. Sounds like a lot of them are “assumed” TG’s.

Besides EMS Ops 1a, what other TG’s for EMS are actually in the radios?
