from what I can tell if you put all the freqs. in correctly and programmed them as a system II you are good to go. Make sure when you scan you press the trunk button for about 2 seconds.

I Guess I am not picking up talkgroups so how could i maximize my 800 mhz reception???
P.S. when i look at frequencies that are under safe-t i can hear some of them in conventional mode but not trunked
P.S.S. Should this be in this, Radio Shank Scanners, Or trunked systems in the forum

well you have to put in your talk groups or either search them. I'm not too familiar with your model but if you hit the search buton it may say search ID or scan id. If it says scan ID and you haven't programmed any talk group ID's you won't hear anything. If you have it to say on the display SEARCH ID then it will pick everything up on that system. how far are you from the system you are trying to monitor?

VERY IMPORTANT: When programming a trunking system, you must program Trunk Systems in trunking mode. If you just put in the frequencies and then hit trunk, the scanner will only scan the frequencies as regular channels not the trunk system. The first step after turning the scanner on would be to hold down the TRUNK key for about 2 or 3 seconds and listen for a double beep. You should see the screen flashing a cursor on and off in the Trunk Bank mode. You are now in the TRUNK programming mode. Now you can load your frequencies. There is a very good explanation on the RR Wiki for the the Pro-2052. This is what it sounds like your scannner is doing. If you need more help, just post here.

Perhaps I am incorrect, but I thought the SAFE-T network was primarily digital comms? If that is the case, then you will not pick up much as the Pro-2052 is not a digital capable scanner.
