WS1065: help

can not get scanner to work. uploaded and i get nothing enabled.

Make sure you have at least one scan list turned on.

If you want some help you'll have to give up a little more information than that. What model scanner? What software are you using to program. What state and county are you located in? What, specifically, do you wish to monitor - analog or digital, the names of the agencies and systems? What kind of antenna are you using? Basic information that has to be known. If I am not mistaken, I think someone posted a wiki or sticky that outlines how to ask the Forums for help so that all pertinent information is known when the request is made. A lot of people come into these Forums asking the same questions, so much so that there is another sticky about what to do when you attempt to program your scanner and get a message that says 'Nothing To Scan' - a checklist of sorts that guides you thru the most common mistakes or oversights. You can get expert help in here from people who volunteer their time, but you have to work with them. You'll be up and running before you know it.

Well said JD, I think you and I answered him at the same time LOL. Read up on everything you can poster, try just a search on your favorite search mode. Detailed answers will pop right up for a very common mistake.

whistler 1065 used the win 500 to make scan list. Upload to scanner it has the first frequency showing looks like clears back and has no enabled. Tried what is says to check the scan list but nothing ever works. north carolina davidson county looking for just fire rescue highway channels.

I have an ARC500 file for the Davidson County trunked system. If you would like, I can convert it to a Win500 file and attach it for you to program your scanner..

Sometimes it is best to post your questions to a part of the forum where you are most likely to connect with someone right there in your locale. Hopefully, someone will post who is familiar with the North Carolina VIPER system there in Davidson county. I show some of your systems to be vhf analog and some now on VIPER. Not familiar with VIPER, sorry.

Here is the file. Save the zipped file to your computer and \extract. Open the extracted file with Win500 and Upload to Scanner.
