Hello Everyone. I was doing some research on Hernando County and I see they are getting a P25 System. I was wondering if anyone had any new information or progress about this system. I see on 09/01/2021 Call sign WNFW960 was granted. It is listed as YE, (800Mhz Trunked System) Could this be the new P25 system? There is nothing that I see at all in the database about a new system for Hernando. I'm just wondering if anyone has any updates on it.
Thank you!

EDIT: This has been turned into the master system thread for Hernando County.

I wouldn’t hold my breath but supposedly it’s in the works along with all the bs encryption rumors.

I have heard it could take 2 year's to go online. I also heard Brooksville fire using their tg.816 at the fairground's.

the best way to figure this out is to find a point of contact in the county (perhaps the Emergency Management Directors office?) and ask the question directly to the decision makers. If you are cordial, most likely you will get the information you are looking for.

So you're saying this company is known for trying to push encryption?
