Hello! I'm interested in the history of this website because I've always been into radio forums and never came across this site until recently. I was off the net for over a year but I don't think you could have grown this fast unless you broke away from another forum and brought many with you.

I'm really impressed with this message board and the number of members, the info and news, and the database among other things. So if the owner of this site would post a history of this site I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to see the progression of this site if you happen to have files saved that you could post from over the years.

BTW, I found this site a couple months ago looking up somthing on a search engine.

Radio Reference started 27 Feb 2004. It is an expansion of a site called the Trunked Radio Network which was in place since I think the end of 2000 or maybe January 2001. Prior to that time it was known as the South East US Trunked Radio Page, which was a misnomer since it had a lot more than one page. I am not sure exactly when it started but I know it grew out of Lindsay's personal web site. It seems to me the first time I was involved that I can remember was 1998, but I could be off by a bit.

Some of these pages can be found, as pointed out, at the www.archive.org website.
