On the basis of what you wrote on MediaMonkey, I downloaded a free copy last night and very pleased. Good recommendation.

I found it easier to copy the folders from the HP1 to my PC hard drive, then access them with MediaMonkey. For some reason it didn't want to show the title, genre, artist if I just pointed at the HP1 folders. Not only does it show the three fields (3 click panels for frequency on the HP1) but it plays the subdirectory from one clip to the next without having to set up a playlist or play 1 by 1 or other painful activities in Windows Media Player.

You can also directly delete the 1 or 2 second empty tracks, the occasional 420k emptry tracks and other tracks that were not part of the specific incident you were recording with a few clicks, rename the folders (HP1 saved entries). No problem copying the cleaned up files back to the HP if you want.

Have you heard anything back from Uniden support on your 1st radio? My first radio wouldn't receive at all and just sent back, but second one is a charm.

Good application for this. It will also burn the recordings off on to CD/DVD if you want.

A 32GB microsd card seems to work fine

I had to take out the 2GB toshiba card and it actually broke off in my card reader.
The only card I had handy was a 32GBandisk, it seems to work fine.
