I have 3 radios myself. I have a Radio Shack Pro-91 Analog scanner I feed to this site. I then have 2 MW/FM/SW SSB Radios . Tecsun PL-230 and a Grundig G3. I think the radio you buy should be more about it's options and overall performance. Like I'm not expecting to get the same sensitivity and filtering I might get with a proper desktop SW Radio as I would with my portables. Like my G3 is the only SSB radio I have. But it's AM and SW isn't as good on filtering as my Tecsun. So I feel it's the radio for the job at hand more than just buying up all you can. Sure if you want to buy radios nothing to it. But know what you are getting first so you know how you can use it.

I guess I answered my own question, Since posting this thread I: Sold the Grundig 800M, Grundig G3, gave my uncle the tecsun pl 600, 660 and grundig Mini 300.

Bought an Eton e1 and Eton E1XM, Grundig G4000A AND a Radio Shack DX-390 (actually the RS was bought at the orlando hamfest 2/11/12, the guy wanted 75.00 then I looked at him dead in the eye and said "What is the best price you can do"? he said 50 I'm like wrap it up! The radio looks perfect and he had the original box.)
