Good Morning I was wondering if somebody on here can help me. I am looking to replace my HT1000 this radio has served me well, but unfortunately this radio isn't narrow band compatible. I found I HT2000 on eBay can someone please tell me how to tell if this radio is narrow band compliant. The model number is H01KDD9AA4AN, the serial number is 355CEE1564. I have checked battlabs.com but all I can find is on the HT1000. Any help would be grateful

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

That model number comes out to a VHF MT2000. There's no such radio as an HT2000...

The model number is an A4 MT2000.
Serial number says it was made in Feb 2004. It should have firmware 2.13, so it SHOULD do narrowband including splinter channels. (older pre April 1998 MT2000's with F/W LOWER than 2.11 do NOT do narrowband splinter channels)
HT1000's are Narrow band capable........... If you need to do the splinter(6.25 channel steps) freqs then you would need a DN model, but ALL models(AN,BN,CN,DN) are capable of the 12.5 frequency steps and 2.5 deviation.
thank you for the quick reply to my question I noticed after I posted that it was an HT2000 that it really was an MT2000. I had the local Motorola radio shop hook it up to his computer software and he told me that it didn't show narrow band as an option on his screen. The way that it sounded to me was that if it didn't show up as an option then it isn't possible. I guess that isn't true especially because my radio is a DN model.
Either the tech didn't know what he was doing or he wanted to sell you a new radio. Sad either way.
