To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello,
I have a problem with mi hytera radio.

When receives from a repeater, some incoming transmisions has got micro-mutes.

I have test with other antenas and signal is ok.
All my hytera radios has got this problem. However Motorola and anytone is ok.

I think that the solution is in a parameter
of the hytera CPS, however I dont know how to solve it.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a priority background scan running.Do you have weather enabled maybe?

Yes, It sounds like when the priority background scanning is running. However the scan is OFF.

With my two hytera I heard the micro-mutes from repeater at same….So, some incoming transmisions with micro-mutes, and other perfect.

With Motorola and Anytone, no problem.

Signal ok, antenna ok, no interferences….

I dont know how to solve it.

I have a similar experience but my situtation is passively scanning a large tier 3 Motorola system transmitting voice and data.

2x low tier Hytera PD radios 1x using old firmware without Psuedo Trunk slot option and a 16x channel scan list of 8x channels with both slots 1&2 for each frequency. Scan stops on transmission and micro mutes through transmission if TX is longer then perhaps 3-5 seconds in length. 1x using new firmware with Psuedo Trunk slot option and a scan list of 8x channels with Psudeo Trunk enabled slot operation for each frequency. Scan stops on transmission and is perfect every time RX on this system during hours and hours of listening.

I wonder since comparing the 2x radios together plus also comparing XPR7550 / DP4800 on same system passive scanning the muting may come from the Motorola repeater side quickly switching slots whilst TX for data or polling or some other purpose and creates this micro behaviour ? These are all portable radios so running squelch very loose also all the time.

Sorry i cannot answer OP question, nor wish to change your thread but share in case it reminds of another or same solution / answer ?
